Chantiques could never offer our wonderful solid wood furniture to the local Portland community if it were not for the hard labors of our Indonesian partner company. The workshop we have partnered with is called Surya Candra C.V., and it is located in a small town in Java famous for wood carvers and furniture makers.  We regularly visit and are constantly striving to improve conditions for the workers and the local community. We practice fair trade with all our suppliers and for our staff we offer a wage that is above average and a work day that is shorter than most. We provide full medical insurance for all of our Indonesian staff as well as their families along with a paid leave every year.
